What is an kolhapuri saaj? Kolhapuri saaj is an old traditional jewellery from the western ghats of maharashtra. Expressing mythological beliefs of the people in the city the kolhapuri saaj is and completely hand made and ancient piece of jewelery. The kolhapuri saaj (Also known as SAAZ or Kolhapuri SAAZ) is often associated with sacred symbolism. Popular in the maharashtra in the older times and now all over India. kolhapuri saaj typically consists of 10-21 different symbolically designed PANADIS attached with Ghungroos (Also known as Ghagris[meaning water vessel], Javmani Beads, Kkada panadis (Also known as stone leaves) and a SAAJ GHAT in the middle .
