PESHWAI KOLHAPURI SAAJ 42 PAANI Hand-made kolhapuri saaj made up of 42 panadi's. This saaj has red and green panadis to give it an old an traditional look. Each panadi has 5 ghungroos below it (Red Green panadi has 3) making it look rich. Kolhapuri saaj is one of the oldest jewellery design from maharashtra. This saaj is called peshwai because of its histroy. Filled witb ghungroos and hand cut panadis this is an perfect fit for all mahrashtrian outfits. Our kolhapuri saaj consists no form of lakh (Wax) and beads are hollows, meaning what you get is an pure silver saaj. Unlike other kolhapuri saaj everything in our saaj is made out of 925 silver , may it be ghungroo ,panadis, beads. The beads used are special JAVMANI OR JAVAMANI same as used in older patterns.  Unlike the regular kolhapuri saaj design this does not have an Pendant (Kolhapuri Saaj Ghat) in between giving it an more uniform look. What is vajratik ?  Vajratik or mahalaxmi gadi thushi is an well know jewellery ornament from kolhapur, finding its history since the mahalaxmi mandir. It has also been seen on the statue of the goddess inside the temple. Vajratik is made up of tiny Pieces of "W shaped petis" and plain round beads. It is precisely hand made by workers in kolhapur giving it an authentic touch.
